osu no seishin

perseverance under pressure

In the dojo osu is the word you will hear the most and by saying osu it reminds us of it’s meaning

patience, determination and perseverance.

Karate was developed not only as a form of unarmed combat but as a way to discipline the body in order to improve the spirit.

In this way, a unity of body and spirit can be achieved.

Mas Oyama (1923 – 1994)

Kyokushin is rooted in a philosophy of self-improvement, discipline and hard training.

In our dojo we preserve the legacies of the generations that have gone before us; learning from them, and building on them, to evolve as the dynamics of our society transform.
